Located in the heart of East Grinstead, our beautiful pub is surrounded by exciting and fun things to do in West Sussex for all the family. Take a trip to Bluebell Railway for a ride on a steam train, or perhaps take the family to Ashdown Forest to play pooh sticks from the home of ‘Winnie The Pooh’, or we have the beautiful Sheffield Park & Gardens looked after by the National Trust just 20 minutes away.
How do you fancy supper and a show? Well, you can do just that in good ol’ East Grinstead. Grab a steak, or Catch of the Day (plus a cheeky cocktail) with your theatre companion, and then wander down to watch the performance. Perfection.

We’ve got a cracking combo of your favourite familiar shops and independent traders on our high street. With bags-full of stores, cafes and charity shops on our doorstep, we’re the perfect place to put your feet up (with a glass of wine) after a day of retail therapy.
Explore acres of landscaped gardens, parkland and woodland at the National Trust’s Sheffield Park & Garden in East Sussex. Fun for all the family. And it’s 20mins from our lovely pub, so be sure to swing by for a family dinner afterwards.
Ashdown Forest is a great place for walking and enjoying spectacular views over the Sussex countryside and is known the world over as the ‘home’ of Winnie-the-Pooh. Start your day with a hearty brunch dish (or a slap-up lunch) and then head off for a good walk.
Did you know, Bluebell Railway was one of the first preserved heritage lines in the country? No? Well, it is. And it means it has spectacular collection of vintage steam locomotives and carriages. Lovely day out for a mooch.
